How long does it take to write a grant?

For most private or foundation grants, we recommend at least 4–6 weeks to prepare a strong, competitive proposal. Larger federal or government grants may take 2 or more months due to their complexity.

Rush projects are possible in some circumstances, so please reach out to discuss your timeline.

What do I need to have ready before applying for grants?

We recommend the following as part of your grant readiness checklist:

  • 501(c)(3) or school/district/hospital status (or fiscal sponsor)

  • Mission statement, organizational background, and history

  • Program details or project design

  • Budget and financials

  • Letters of support (when applicable)

  • Proof of past outcomes or plans for evaluation

We’ll guide you through each step and can help develop or strengthen any missing materials.

Do I need to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to get grants?

Most foundation and government grants require a 501(c)(3) or eligible public entity (e.g., school, district, municipality). However, fiscal sponsorship is an option for startups or grassroots groups.

Not sure where you stand? We’ll help you determine your eligibility and options.

How successful are you?

We’ve helped clients secure over $30 million in grant funding — including competitive federal awards, state- and county-level government grants, and service contracts. We bring experience, clear communication, and results.

Can you help us find grants and not just write them?

Absolutely. We offer standalone grant prospecting as well as comprehensive packages that include research, writing, and strategy. We match your mission with aligned funders — no guesswork, no wasted time.

Do you work with clients outside of your state?

Yes! We work with clients across the U.S. using virtual meetings, shared workspaces, and consistent communication.
